TELEPHONE CALLS: Our qualified office nursing staff is
capable of answering many of your questions. If they are unable to do so, they
will refer the questions to the doctor, and will get back to you as soon as
possible.
Please inform the office
staff, early in the day, of any worsening problems you may be experiencing.
This will help them to make the scheduling changes necessary so that you can be
seen.
LAB TESTS AND RESULTS: Our on-site laboratory is staffed by a registered medical
technologist. Many lab tests, including CBC's, Chem Profiles, Cholesterol screening, urinalysis, thyroid
function, hemoccult and coagulation studies are
available. Specimens for certain managed care plans are collected and sent to
reference laboratories contracted by your insurance company. We will call
patients with all abnormal values within 24-72 hours after the procedure was
performed, however, some specialized tests may take 2-3 weeks.
PRESCRIPTIONS & REFILLS: When medication is prescribed for you,
you are responsible for taking it as directed and informing your physician of
any side effects or problems right away. It is equally important that you let
your doctor know of any other medications you are taking, whether they be prescription or over the counter, so that potentially
dangerous interactions may be avoided.
Prescription renewals can be
made at your next office visit, or by phone. Please check with your pharmacist
before calling the office. Some medications can be refilled without contacting
the physician. If there is a problem and your pharmacist requests that you call
our office, please have available the name of the medication, as well as the
name and telephone number of your pharmacy. Medications are generally called in
during the working day, and should not be called for on weekends or evenings
unless emergent.
BILLING & PAYMENT

the complexity of your problem, time spent by the provider, and the cost of
equipment and supplies used.

in paying for your care, please speak with one of our patient account
